How to Use Quick Paste on TTD Darshan Booking

TTD's booking website now only accepts details that you enter yourself. Quick Paste works with that: the extension copies each saved detail and lights up the right box, and you press Ctrl+V. Here is the whole flow for two pilgrims, from start to finish.

The video uses a practice form with sample details. It works the same way on TTD's pilgrim details page.

Step by step

  1. Save your family once. Open the extension from your Chrome toolbar and add each pilgrim's name, age, gender, ID proof type and ID number. This is free.
  2. Open TTD's pilgrim details page. Log in on the official portal, choose your darshan date and slot, and continue to the page where TTD asks for pilgrim details.
  3. Tap ⚡ Quick Paste. Use the orange button at the bottom right of the page, or the Quick Paste button in the extension. A small panel opens and shows the first field.
  4. Press Ctrl+V in the glowing box. The name is already copied for you. Press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac) and the panel moves to the next field by itself. If a box doesn't accept pasting, like Age, the panel shows the value large so you can type it.
  5. Pick the dropdowns. For Gender and ID proof, the panel tells you what to pick. Choose it from TTD's list and it moves on. The ID number is copied and ready, so just press Ctrl+V again.
  6. Next pilgrim, same way. The panel goes through every pilgrim, then any general details like email and pincode. When it says "All done", check the form and click Continue on TTD's page.

Example: 4 pilgrims, start to finish

Here is what booking for a family of four looks like with Quick Paste, once everyone's details are saved:

Field (per pilgrim)What you doFor 4 pilgrims
NamePress Ctrl+V4 pastes
AgeType the two digits shown (TTD's age box does not accept pasting)4 quick entries
GenderPick the option Quick Paste shows4 picks
ID proof typePick the option Quick Paste shows4 picks
ID numberPress Ctrl+V4 pastes

That is about 8 pastes, 4 age entries and 8 dropdown picks. You never click into a box yourself, because Quick Paste moves the cursor to the next field after each entry. Most people finish four pilgrims in about a minute, compared with 3 to 5 minutes of typing names and 12-digit Aadhaar numbers by hand.

Try it before booking day. Our practice form lets you rehearse Quick Paste with sample details, so you're quick when the quota opens. See the next TTD release dates.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I have to press Ctrl+V? Can't it fill automatically?

TTD's booking website now only accepts details that you enter yourself and clears values written in by any tool. Quick Paste works with that: it copies each detail and highlights the right box, so the entry is a normal paste by you.

Does Quick Paste work on Mac?

Yes. On a Mac, press Cmd+V (⌘+V) instead of Ctrl+V. The panel shows the right keys for your computer.

Why does the Age box ask me to type?

Some boxes on TTD's form don't accept pasting. When that happens, Quick Paste shows the value in large text so you can type it quickly, then moves on.

What if I click a different box?

The panel follows you. Click any field Quick Paste knows about, such as an Aadhaar number box, and it jumps to that field and copies its value.

Does it work on mobile?

No. Chrome extensions only run in Chrome or Edge on a laptop or desktop.
